Commission a piece
A commissioned work is one of the most intimate things I make. You bring the subject — a person, a memory, a feeling — and I bring the process: the hours of looking, the layers of charcoal, the searching for something true beneath the surface.
Every commission is made by hand, in charcoal on paper, at the same scale and with the same attention as my gallery work.

Step by step
Enquire — Fill in the form with your idea, the subject, any reference images you have, and your preferred size. I'll respond within 3–5 working days.
Brief & deposit — Once we've aligned on the concept, I send a brief summary and a deposit invoice (typically 40% upfront). Work begins when the deposit is received.
Process updates — I share progress photos at key stages. You have one opportunity to request minor adjustments before the piece is finalised.
Completion & delivery — When the work is complete, I send final photographs for your approval. The remaining balance is invoiced before shipping. Your piece ships with a certificate of authenticity.
Current lead time: 1-6 weeks from deposit to completion, depending on size and complexity. I take a limited number of commissions at a time to ensure each piece receives full attention.
